I love skiing so I always look forward to ur vids. keep living it big!
hey man so im really interested in skydiving and i see here ur a skydiver. sick blog btw. i was just wondering the safety info bout it n stuff. wanna do it for my 17th bday. im from socal (la brea), know any good places? also wondering what you gotta do to start jumping solo n stuff. any help appreciated.
COOL!! and thank you for the compliment. depending on where you decide to go you need to make sure they allow minors to jump. Lodi is where i jump and im pretty sure they are the only place that allow minors to jump. but call ahead and ask anyway. so im up here in norcal so the best places i can think of down there would be santa barbara to the north, and Skydive Taft, and skydive elisinore which are to the east of you. those are all the socal ones i would recommend. and as far as safety goes the most dangerous part of the ordeal is gonna be the drive to the airport (especially for you socal guys haha) you will be jumping tandem your first time and quite honestly there hasnt been a tandem death in years. deaths are now a rare occurrence. there are all types safety devices. even one where if your instructor were to pass out the parachute would still deploy for you guys. its idiot proof haha. once you make your tandem and if you become interested in the sport (you will its like heroine addiction) you can talk to whatever DZ (drop zone) you go to about how to take teh steps into starting your AFF or Accelerated free fall course. before dropping the big bucks on this course i would SERIOUSLY recommend doing some time in the wind tunnel. its called iFLY indoor skydiving. theres one in LA. this will help you work on your balance in free fall. this is important because if you fail one jump in the seven jump course it will cost you hundreds to re do it. so get a good 10-15 min in the wind tunnel. tell your instructor at iFLY that you are an AFF student and that you need to work on your basic free fall position. only do iFLY until you have a set date of taking your AFF. be sure to do your tunnel time within a week of ur AFF so you can retain some of the muscle memory. and thats how you start. so just go take that tandem jump and have fun!!!!!! you can always email me here for info if you have more questions or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. good luck to you!
